What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substance Abuse Counselor position at Innovative Health?
Outpatient addiction treatment facility is looking for a Substance abuse counselor (can be a social worker as well). Experience with substance use disorders. Experience with a wide range of mental health disorders and CBT, MI, and Seeking Safety skills a plus. Schedule is M-F with evenings twice a week.
Responsibilities include:
1) Provide individual counseling and case management services to clients;
2) Lead group counseling sessions;
3) Maintain timely documentation including progress notes, group notes, treatment plans;
4) Conduct intakes, level of care determinations, psychiatric screening, bio-psychosocial assessments and involve family members in treatment;
5) Participation in case conferences, in-service trainings and individual supervision;
6) Additional duties will be determined by the Clinical Director.
Qualifications
Must be a QHP and hold at least one of the following: LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LCAT, LMHC, CASAC, or CASAC-T and have at least 2 years’ experience in mental health and/or alcoholism and drug treatment.
Bilingual- Spanish Speaking a Plus
Must have experience with having a patient case load
Salary commensurate with experience.
Well Balanced Workweek with Weekends off.
