As a Patient Insurance Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting patients with enrolling in and maintaining active insurance coverage, responds to payer requests for information, and remains current on all health insurance options for Indiana residents

The Opportunity
- Contact and interview patients and/or families to screen the appropriateness of filing applications(s) for medical coverage
- Assist patients with obtaining the needed verifications and documentation (with patient's authorizations) that is required to determine eligibility
- Monitor and assist with the application process including attending interview when necessary to maintain all processing deadlines
- Collaborate interdepartmentally to gather/disperse information pertinent to patients' insurance coverage
- Document all insurance/financial clearance information in electronic medical records systems. Assist with updating demographic, insurance, funding and medical information in these information systems, as needed
- Respond to payer requests for information
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field, preferred
- Minimum 2 years related experience
- Indiana Insurance Navigator's License preferred, but not required
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance is required
