OC Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is dedicated to providing its participants with comprehensive health and social supports that are proven to effectively manage chronic conditions and to reduce the risk for premature institutionalization. PACE staff are leaders in the "aging in place" industry and we have had the honor of serving Fresno, Bakersfield and Orange County seniors and their families / caregivers.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Operations, the Executive Director will liaise in making decisions for operational activities in their assigned PACE center. The Executive Director will assist in setting strategic goals that are consistent with the Innovative Integrated Health (IIH) Mission Statement.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for the effective operation of the PACE program at a specific PACE Center. Effective operation includes striving to meet participant needs; involves rigorous communication and coordination with all operations departments and other IIH Divisions.
  • Work closely with the business development division to maintain and grow center census.
  • Responsible for leading an assigned PACE center in a manner that supports and guides the organization's mission as directed by the VP of Operations.
  • Responsible for adherence to all regulations, both federal and state, which govern the operations of a PACE organization, and an Adult Day Health Care (ADHC)Maintain confidentiality regarding participant, staff, contractor, and organizational information.
  • Evaluate regularly; The efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements.
  • Responsible for participating in strategic planning to ensure that IIH can successfully fulfill its mission into the future.

  • Responsible for fiscal management that generally anticipates ensuring maximum resource utilization.
  • Coordinate the procurement needs for the center with the central procurement department and coordinate material and resource allocation.
  • In collaboration with the other Executive Directors, Directors, Sr. Managers, and Managers; review, revise and / or formulate policies and workflows and promote their implementation.
  • Manage relationships / agreements with external partners / vendors.
  • Ensure that the center is compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintains a qualified staff.
  • Ensures proper training, certification, and competency of personnel assigned.
  • Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximizing employee morale and productivity.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-services, projects, and committees assigned.
  • Adhere to and support the center's practices, procedures, and policies including assigned break times, , attendance, and other labor law
  • Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner; and perform all other related duties as assigned.
  • Leads process improvement initiatives and training with the interdisciplinary team to improve collaboration between departments.
  • Be flexible in the schedule of hours worked.
  • May require use of personal vehicle.

  • Work location is at the assigned center and within the community served.
  • Ability to access all areas of the center throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally, 15 pounds frequently, and 7 pounds constantly; required to obtain assistance of another qualified employee when attempting to lift or transfer objects over 25 pounds.
  • Requires constant hand grasp and finger dexterity; frequent sitting, standing, walking and repetitive leg and arm movements, occasional bending, reaching forward and overhead; squatting and kneeling.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with an excellent comprehension of the English language.
  • Work is generally performed in an indoor, well-lit, well-ventilated, heated, and air-conditioned environment.
  • Requirements

    Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing staff within different healthcare disciplines preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge and ability to maintain a consistent level of productivity.
  • Understanding of detailed requirements in action plans and implementation.
  • Knowledge required to commission and conduct data analysis for decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that result in team building, successful negotiation, conflict resolution, and effective handling of complex interpersonal situations.
  • Leadership skills to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team setting.
  • Ability to inspire confidence and open communication necessary for a learning environment.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and balance in relationships with others.
  • Effective social interaction with physicians, management, board members, and business and community contacts.
  • Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to complete duties within an agreed-upon timeframe and adapt appropriately to change of priorities and workload and to adjust personal schedule, if required.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills to convey information effectively.
  • Education and Certification

  • Bachelors required
  • Master's degree in business or healthcare management is strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, proof of current insurance and current registration.
