What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at Innovative Labs?
The Driver position is responsible for transporting Innovative Labs' finished goods, raw materials to and from the production area, Warehouse, vendors and customers. The Driver may also be given changing day to day responsibilities such as loading and unloading drivers forklift operations and warehouse personal relief.
Schedule: Flexible working hours, with the potential to drive as late as 7pm when needed for emergency deliveries (for example, when a batching has to get a last minute order out for production).
As a Driver, you will:
- Load materials from the various warehouses using an electric pallet jack, hand pallet jack and forklift onto box truck in a safe manner.
- Transport materials between buildings on a daily basis.
- Assist in recording the inventory onto transfer sheets that accompany each load moved.
- Perform daily truck inspections at the beginning of each shift to ensure trucks are in good working order.
- Refuel trucks on an "as needed" basis.
- Pick up and deliver material to other vendors, suppliers, and customers as per request.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must be competent and able to learn all warehouse computer systems and processes.
- Must have ability to operate forklift.
- Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
- Must be able to understand basic computer navigation.
- Possession of strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
- Able to work collectively with the administrative team associates.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Pass skills assessment exam with 70% or higher on both reading and match comprehension.
- Must have valid Utah driver’s license.
- Utah Driving Record at an "A" rating.
- Must have the ability to become forklift certified
- Physical test will be performed (after conditional offer is extended) in order to assure no health concerns prevent ability to drive is safe (per insurance policy).

Physical Demands
Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds repetitively. May need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for regular periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required.

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
For the most part ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
