Position Overview:
The Warehouse Operations Specialist is responsible for managing warehouse activities, overseeing warehouse staff, and supporting product logistics and customer service. This role is highly hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of warehouse work, driving, and direct customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations and supervise warehouse team
- Interact with customers and vendors in a professional and courteous manner
- Load, transport, and deliver agricultural products safely and efficiently
- Receive, organize, and track incoming and outgoing shipments
- Operate seed treatment and seed cleaning equipment and create sales orders and invoices for product transactions
- Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure a clean, organized warehouse
- Perform light vehicle and equipment maintenance
- Conduct building upkeep and general facility maintenance
- Operate agricultural equipment including forklifts, tractors, skid steers, and telehandlers
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License required
- CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Forklift Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Category 4 Commercial Pesticide Applicator License preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and operate agricultural equipment
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
This role includes product deliveries ranging from 5 to 100 miles. The ability to properly plan trips, manage delivery schedules, and represent the company professionally with customers is essential.
