Work Experience : Preferred experience in non-profit fiscal management, federal and state budgets and reporting. Experience in creating detailed reports and leading scheduled audits of center locations. Ability to liaise on behalf of the company to federal and state partners to speak on reports as needed.
We are seeking a dedicated Fiscal Specialist to join our non-profit organization and support our operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong understanding of Head Start and Early Head Start principles. As a Center Manager, you will be responsible for various tasks including but not limited to holding weekly touchpoints with your center directors, supporting their needs and resolving any concerns, managing the fleet vehicles for each center to include but not limited to scheduling regular maintenance and inspections. This role will also be responsible for the onboarding process for new employees which includes but is not limited to technology acquisition & repairs, badging and required trainings.
Critical Action Items and Affiliated Duties of Center Manager
1. Review center practices and procedures to ensure compliance with Head Start & Early Head Start.
2. Communicating inventory and supply needs for centers to maintain daily compliance to Assistant Grant Director weekly.
3. Managing the Fleet vehicles at each center : Scheduling regular maintenance, inspections, repairs and other needs as required for safety and compliance.
4. Track staff attendance and report absences to Assistant Grant Director in weekly reporting.
5. Monitor and track any and all technology that is in need of repair or replacing.
6. Review, organize & purchase supplies for : Grant Director, Coordinators, Office Staff.
7. Monitor and track time and effort reports to ensure compliance with grant requirements.
8. Manage and track Center Director requests, needs and communicate to Fiscal Specialist weekly.
9. Process purchase requests within a 48hr turnaround.
10. All other duties as assigned
Requirements :

2. Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in management or leadership roles.
3. Preferred experience in non-profit management, federal and state budgets
4. Experience working in a licensed childcare center or a licensed childcare home. Experience in education and / or early childhood can be substituted.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft software.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
8. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
9. Understanding of non-profit financial reporting requirements.
10. Familiarity with grant management and compliance.
11. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced
Environment
13. Must be able to pass a background check & have a valid driver's license.
