Technology: Innovative Network of Knowledge will provide this role with a company provided laptop, but the employee will secure and cover the cost for the operation of this technology in the virtual landscape of his/her home office. (internet, telephone, home office setup, etc.).
Position Overview
As the Principal of our private school, this position will be the administrative leader, responsible for overseeing all aspects of school operations, including academics, staff management, student discipline, community engagement, and ensuring alignment with the school's mission and values, while fostering a positive learning environment for students and maintaining a strong public image for the institution.
This person will report to the Chief of Schools and will work closely with the Director of Operations to coordinate the forward growth and development of the school as well as create new pathways and opportunities for the school’s growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Academic Leadership:
- Needs to have a comprehensive knowledge about implementing a robust Project Based Learning (PBL) model with all grades.
- Developing and implementing a rigorous curriculum aligned with the school's philosophy and standards.
- Monitoring student academic progress and identifying areas for improvement.
- Overseeing teacher evaluations and providing professional development opportunities.
- Ensuring high-quality instruction across all subject areas.
- Staff Management:
- Hiring, supervising, and evaluating all school staff, including teachers, administrators, and support personnel.
- Building a collaborative and positive work environment for faculty and staff.
- Addressing staff concerns and managing performance issues.
- Student Support:
- Maintaining a safe and disciplined learning environment.
- Addressing student behavioral issues and implementing appropriate disciplinary measures.
- Promoting student well-being and supporting their social and emotional development.
- Overseeing student activities, clubs, and extracurricular programs.
- Community Engagement:
- Communicating regularly with parents regarding student progress and school activities.
- Building strong relationships with parents and actively involving them in the school community.
- Representing the school at community events and to external stakeholders.
- Administrative Duties:
- Managing the school budget and allocating resources effectively.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
- Overseeing facility maintenance and operations
- Ensure that all programs comply with relevant educational regulations and standards in Texas and the nation based on Innovative Network of Knowledge’s Standard Operating Procedures in direct alignment with any and all current and future program partners.
- Prepare regular reports, both internal and external, on program performance and outcomes.
- Developing and implementing school-wide policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field
- Principal Certification
- TTESS certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in education management, virtual learning
- Proven experience as a successful teacher in a private or public school setting
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills, with a proven track record of building and developing high performing teams.
- Examples and experience with building Culture on a campus at all levels
- Ability to build relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Understanding of private school culture and mission
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
- Eagerness to lead rich PBL initiatives at every level
- Ability to travel as needed for program integrity and growth
- Knowledge of education regulations and policies in multiple states.
- Ability to meet school deliverables
- Other duties as assigned
