Our client, a growing multi-service engineering firm headquartered in Kennesaw , is looking for an HR Generalist to join ther team. The HR Generalist will support the daily functions of the Human Resources department and play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of this 150 employee firm.
This position will be worked fully onsite at the office in Kennesaw and will report to the HR Manager who has been with the firm for 25 years. She is eager to mentor and develop this new HR Generalist. The firm also provides the opportunity for employees to grow by attending classes and gaining certifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation of new hires across all offices. This includes uploading information to our systems, E-Verify compliance, setting up appropriate training and coordinating with other offices.
- Update and maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
- Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Assist with legal compliance by monitoring applicable federal, state and local HR-related requirements and making sure all offices are up to date on required postings.
- Support training initiatives and assist with facilitation of programs.
- Assist and manage FMLA requests.
- Report and handle Workers’ Compensation claims and work with carrier and managers with information regarding return to work.
- Support corporate team with employee engagement initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as required in support of the day-to-day administration and operations of the Human Resources Department.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
COMPENSATION : salary of $75-80,000 depending on experience plus a quarterly performance-based bonus plan
