The Cashier/clerk position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and responding to customer inquiries. It's an entry-level position and since our company is growing we're looking for enthusiastic, experienced cashiers/clerks who are looking to make a name for themselves in the retail industry. We're especially interested in candidates who have strong math, communication and problem solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with their shopping needs and provide exceptional customer service.
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash and processing transactions accurately.
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Utilize basic math skills for pricing and sales calculations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to enhance the shopping experience.
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively in the store.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Proficient in basic math and retail math for accurate cash handling
- Experience with cash registers and POS systems
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and support retail sales
- Familiarity with stocking and merchandising in a retail pharmacy environment
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as it enhances customer engagement
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
