Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a results-driven Project Engineer to manage small to medium-scale mechanical projects in Lyndhurst, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and direct project completion, ensuring timely, within-budget, and scope-compliant execution.
• Shadow a Senior Project Manager to gain necessary skills and experience for advancement into a Project Manager role.

Project Manager Role:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring customer specifications are met while managing safety, quality, efficiency, and timelines.

Project Management Tasks:

• Manage small to medium-scale refrigeration construction projects from award through commissioning and final punch list completion.
• Communicate with building owners and general contractors.
• Develop and maintain project schedules aligned with overall general contractor schedules.
• Ensure proper staffing levels and materials/tools availability on site.
• Negotiate with vendors on a national and local level.
• Review engineering progress throughout the design process.
• Track material requirements and delivery schedules.
• Oversight of project scope and quote change orders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSME preferred).
• Strong negotiating skills for cost-effective material procurement.
• Ability to support weekend and evening field construction work as needed.
• Team player with office, shop, and field staff collaboration.
