Experience
- The ideal candidate should have prior experience in fabrication. Previous experience as a sign fabricator or in a related field is a plus, sign construction, painting, etc.
- Exposure to sign fabrication techniques, including cutting, welding, bending, and assembly
- Experience welding aluminum or steel is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with various sign materials, such as metal, acrylic, foam, and vinyl
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Experience operating fabrication tools and equipment, such as saws, cnc, routers, welders, and drills
- Knowledge of coatings, paints, and finishes used in sign production
- Willingness to attend classes or events to improve knowledge of products and build your skills as a fabricator.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to the successful production of high-quality signage
- Fabricate and assemble signs based on design specifications and production requirements
- Follow UL 48 Guidelines for Electric Signs, Building to a standard of quality.
- Operate various tools and equipment, such as saws, routers, welders, and drills, to cut, shape, and manipulate sign materials
- Select and prepare sign materials, including metal, acrylic, and vinyl, ensuring proper sizing and quality
- Apply coatings, paints, and finishes to signs, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to accurately replicate design elements
- Maintain and calibrate fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Monitor inventory levels of sign materials and components, notifying supervisors of any shortages or reordering needs
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot fabrication issues and provide input on feasibility and improvement opportunities
- Adhere to established safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct quality control inspections of finished signs, identifying and addressing any defects or inconsistencies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storage of tools, materials, and completed signage
