Innovative is hiring a Senior Staff Accountant to be a critical contributor to our organization. The primary responsibility for this role will be to prepare account reconciliations and other complex calculations and to participate in all areas of the monthly financial close. This role will also provide support to project accounting and reporting functions.

- Supporting month end and year end close processes, including variance analytics
- Preparing and verifying the accuracy of balance sheet account reconciliations
- Preparing and reviewing standard and ad hoc journal entries for accuracy to ensure the integrity of the general ledger
- Performing complex calculations and preparing workpapers for expense recognition as may be required
- Participating in the Issuance of timely, accurate, and complete financial reports and statements for month-end/year-end close
- Supporting collections efforts and reporting of metrics
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, and support best practices
- Assisting with or leading the administration, implementation, continual review, and improvement of financial systems and processes
- Maintaining accurate documentation of role-related processes and updates as needed
- Assisting in year-end audit by preparing audit schedules, replying to and/or researching audit questions
- Handling highly sensitive and confidential data with the utmost discretion to prevent any internal or external impacts resulting from unauthorized disclosure
- Providing input for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Adhering to FASB guidelines and GAAP, company policies and procedures and other regulations in the performance of duties
- Supporting senior leadership by analyzing trends and variances
- Responding to inquiries from customers, vendors, and internal and external partners in a timely manner
- Working collaboratively with the Finance team, as well as other departments within the company, to continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and customer satisfaction

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with an MBA or CPA a plus
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in a services-based organization
- Knowledge and experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Skilled in performing accounting procedures; preparing and maintaining accurate records
- Ability to compile and present financial reports
- Demonstrated expertise with accounting software, and data management systems e.g., Sage, Datto/Autotask, Excel, Salesforce, AWS
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (i.e., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, IF statements, etc.)
Salary : $78,000 - $85,000
