Innovative Staff Solutions has a direct hire opportunity for a Maintenance Technician for a client in the Hopkinsville, KY area. This is a direct hire, Monday-Friday position, working first shift with full benefits and OT!
Our client is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive facility systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. As a Maintenance Technician, you will diagnose and repair damaged manufacturing equipment (with tools provided by our client) and work with the engineering to implement preventative maintenance. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge manufacturing technology and learn about and work on vision systems, robots, automation, electrical controls, and much more!
You will not be doing the same thing every day. Our client will provide you with the setting and tools to be successful in troubleshooting and problem solving. You'll be working in a safe, clean, climate-controlled environment to enable you to perform your best!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain the plant facility, and equipment
- Installs and repairs manufacturing machinery and other mechanical equipment for production
- Responds quickly to troubleshoot equipment, fixtures, fittings, etc.
- Conducts Preventative Maintenance on scheduled basis
- Follows LOTO and Arc Flash Safety procedures
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Installing and operating machinery and technical equipment
- Familiarity with operating various types of construction equipment
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on plant facilities
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- A driver’s license is required for this position
- Working at heights more than 20 feet for extended periods of time
REQUIREMENTS
- Associates degree or technical school degree/certificate and 2 or more year’s related experience and /or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma/GED required, but completion of technical schooling is preferred
- Must have working knowledge of CNC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, PLCs, robotics, pneumatic systems
- Good verbal and written communication
- Able to demonstrate and follow LOTO procedures
- Able to demonstrate and follow Arc Flash Safety procedures
- Able to read and interpret basic electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic schematics
- Able to proficiently complete minor repairs and adjustments to Production Equipment
- Able to recover robots from “broken-hand or collision guard” alarms
- Able to complete all preventive maintenance (PM) scheduled work orders
- Able to recover production equipment from a crash or misload (Machining)
- Able to proficiently teardown and rebuild machining center Automatic Tool and Pallet Changer (Machining)
- Able to proficiently remove and rebuild machining center Spindle Drawbar Assy. (Machining)
- Proficient at completing Machine Incident Reports, Annual PM’s and Machine Requalification (Machining)
- Proficient at changing out Swashplate lathe indexing chuck and work holding (Machining)
- Able to make minor adjustments to vision systems (Assembly)
- Able to align and troubleshoot safety light curtains and door switches (Assembly)
- Able to change all brands of torque tools and download programs (Assembly)
- Able to adjust / replace fiber optic and laser sensors and encoders (Assembly)
- Able to provide evidence of continuing education on an annual basis to develop applicable skills
- Electrical experience (up to 480VAC)
- PLC and Ladder Logic troubleshooting preferred
- Industrial controls preferred
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems preferred
