Position Details:
- Assess computing needs and system requirements by consulting with users, management, vendors, and technicians.
- Stay updated on technological advances and recommend improvements, such as hardware and software upgrades.
- Manage backups, security, and user help systems. Develop computer information resources for data security, control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery.
- Assist the IT Manager in evaluating project feasibility and requirements. Implement and train employees on new equipment, software, and processes.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement security measures to protect data and systems.
- Manage user accounts and permissions.
- Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with IT professionals to resolve technical problems.
- Develop and maintain system documentation.
- 1st Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm
Requirements:
- Possess a high level of computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Windows, with the ability to adapt to other programs used for this position.
- Possess a strong knowledge of IT systems, Windows desktop operating systems, hardware, software, backups, user support, firewalls, switches, routers, TCP/IP, and networking. Experience with Windows 98, XP, 7, 10, and 11 preferred. General network operating system experience is a plus.
- Ability to work required overtime to support manufacturing needs and customer requests.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand and/or sit for long periods.
- Possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Access (Level II skills).
