Responsibilities:
- Assists the Director of Sales in developing a sales growth strategy and provide and implement a one year sales plan and forecast.
- Works to meet expectations outlined by Smart Goals and KPI’s as set by the Director of Sales.
- Assists in Budgets for and the control of territory selling expenses.
- Responsible for achieving objectives such as sales volumes, margin goals and assisting with new client acquisition programs
- Monitors competitor’s activity and practices for impact on sales goals.
- Assists with the Forecasts of sales and performance, monitoring response to marketing programs.
- Utilizes the company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software Program to maintain client data base, account history and all matters pertaining to territory business.
- Networks with businesses in the territory and builds relationships.
- Targets potential customers and assesses opportunities for sales.
- Cold calls companies within the territory and establishes needs.
- Attends relevant industry events and conferences to build the business.
- Keeps up to date with industry news to identify opportunities for new business.
- Meets with current customers, maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
- Maintains close contact and relationships with key accounts through regular joint sales calls with the Director of Sales and marketing calls and visits.
- Develops and maintains strong product and technical knowledge
- Close interaction and presentation to local, municipal, and state governments.
- Represents Innovative at trade shows and at industry associations in markets pertaining to Innovative’s product line.
Education & Experience:
- Post secondary education and/or related business experience
- Previous experience in outside sales
- 5 years progressive sales/sales management experience or equivalent
- Related industry experience would be an asset
- Proven track record of building business and hitting sales targets
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Consultative selling approach
- Previous experience with technical product an asset
- CRM Experience would be an asset
- Basic chemistry understanding would be an asset
