As a Software Quality Assurance Test Engineer, you will be instrumental in continuing our legacy - testing those very solutions that help our clients to succeed.

Location/Work Environment
This is a hybrid role that requires being on site, up to 2 days/week, at our conveniently located world headquarters offices in Pittsburgh, PA.  

What you will be doing
  • Design, develop, and execute detailed test scripts and test cases using test plans, project specifications, and other relevant information
  • Run both manual and automated test processes
  • Operate and maintain test environments
  • Collaborate with engineering research and development, product management, and other teams
  • Verify specific action or function of code
  • Report defects found in testing promptly and accurately using Jira
  • Document test results including anomalies and issues; compare actual to expected outcomes
  • Report test progress against schedules
  • Perform both new functionality and regression tests, identifying, analyzing and reporting issues for follow-up
  • Ensure the integrity of test material by verifying it is producing accurate, repeatable and actionable results while minimizing errors.
  • Work collaboratively and proactively with other departments to monitor and improve quality processes
  • Implement and maintain automated Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Develop and troubleshoot automation scripts using PowerShell, Batch files, and other scripting tools to optimize testing and deployment processes.
  • Configure and maintain Jenkins build triggers, parameterized builds, and workflows for efficient deployment and testing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements you need to have
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • Bachelor’s Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related engineering or technical field or experience
  • Programming/scripting skills with at least two of the following: C, C#, JavaScript, HTML, XML, SQL, Java, PowerShell Scripts
  • Experience with Business and QA Testing Process Models
  • Strong experience and skill with software test tools, including defect tracking software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think from the users perspective
  • Superior analytic skills along with strong creative technical problem-solving acumen
  • Proven success in effective prioritization to meet deadlines and deliverables
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively alone and as a collaborator
It’s a plus if you have
  • Prior software testing experience (may be through internships or formal work experience)
  • Skill with Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with REST, SoapUI or Selenium WebDriver test automation
  • Expertise in configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Jenkins/CI pipelines using Git, Build Triggers, Parameterized Triggers, Batch Scripts, and Powershell scripts.
  • Excellent track record as a software defect finder/reporter
  • Server-side testing experience with Web Services
  • Working knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure and services, including the ability to design, deploy, and manage cloud solutions on Azure such as Virtual Machines, App Services and SQL Databases.

  • You are contributing to reducing the number of software bugs found in our products, driving toward a goal of zero defects for the customers
  • Utilizing your technical acumen and attention to details skill sets to increase efficiency in our test and release processes so that the release of new versions of software occur within targeted time frames.
