Lead Corporate Communication Manager (Dahlgren NSA, VA)
Innovative Technologies Corporation (ITC) is currently seeking a Lead Corporate Communications Manager with a strong background in DoD Public Affairs (Navy preferred), including experience in research, conducting interviews, writing, editing, including electronic, web based, and hard copy material, as well as experience in digital photography at a semi or professional level. The Dahlgren Corporate Communications Team is expected to be composed of up to 25 personnel, and Senior Communications Manager position may include a supervisory role.
The position is hybrid with at least 3 days on site expected (though 5 days on site is possible), and located at Dahlgren, VA in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center. This is a contingent hire and will require a Letter of Commitment. The role is expected to be available in May or June 2025 and will report to the Corporate Communications Program Manager or other designated manager (NSWCDCC007, approved 10 March 2025)
Education Required:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, public relations, or marketing from an accredited university
Experience Required:
* Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience in the field for public relations, public affairs or journalism related with experience in research, conducting interviews, writing, editing, and obtaining release/approval for articles, feature stories, news releases, and statements, including electronic, web based, and hard copy material
* Experience as a team leader - leadership, supervisory and personnel oversight, performance reporting, coaching, and mentorship skills are essential
* Expert in the following software applications: Newport Enterprise Realtime Development Server (NERDS) digital signage, Adobe Creative Cloud Production Premium, AVS Video Converter, and screen capture software
* Expertise in oral and written English communications skills
* Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office environment is essential (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
Clearance Required:
* DoD Active Secret (no Public Trust)
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior experience as a US Naval Public Affairs specialist preferred
* Experience in some of the following software applications: Adobe Creative Cloud Production Premium, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and After Effects
* Experience in working with DoD or US Navy Program Executive Offices (PEO)
Communications experts will support the Corporate Communications Program Manager and provide NSWC Dahlgren Division support in the functions of corporate communications, public affairs, visual information and technical library support to include program management, speechwriting, writing and editing, exhibit services, photography support, print, photo, video, broadcast production, digital signage, web page development, technical editing, archiving, research, library, and multimedia support.

Salary: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 based on experience, plus medical/dental/vision benefits, 13 days PTO and 7 days sick time; other benefits available.
