Principal Data Analyst (Hybrid, Dahlgren, VA)
Innovative Technologies Corporation (ITC) is currently seeking two Principal Data Analysts (Key) with strong DoD M&S experience to support a proposal we are bidding on. The candidate must have operational experience with modeling and simulations of U.S. Navy combat system sensors, command and control systems, weapons, navigation systems, and/or communication systems and threats in the areas of strategic and mission level modeling.
The one or both of the Principal Data Analyst will be part of WADM contract leadership and will run the Modeling & Simulation Team, which will include leadership, oversight, and mentorship of junior personnel, and is responsibilities for Team deliverables. The Warfare Analysis and Digital Modeling Team is expected to be composed of 50 personnel. Prior experience should also include project/program management showing successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of projects.
The position is hybrid and located at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division in Dahlgren, VA in support of the Warfare Analysis and Digital Modeling M Department and associated programs; some onsite classified work and travel is to be expected. This is a contingent hire and will require a Letter of Commitment. The contract Key Position role is expected to be available in August or September 2025, and will report to the Senior Program Manager (WAMD003/004, approved 7 April 2025).
Education Required:
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or related technical discipline.
Experience Required:
* Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in modeling, simulation and data analysis as applied to Department of Defense systems.
* Experience in the use and adaptation of mathematical and statistical modeling and simulation techniques to provide insight in the effects of alternative courses of action.
* Experience in Navy combat systems, combat system elements, and threats.
* Minimum of ten (10) years of mission engineer or operational experience with Combat Systems, including experience on board U.S. Navy ships with combat system sensors, command and control systems, weapons, navigation systems, or communication systems in one or more of the following U.S Navy systems: Combat Systems Cyber Security; Ships Self Defense System; Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) class frigate; Aegis Integrated Combat Systems; DDG-1000 Zumwalt class destroyer; Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense; Weapon/Combat Systems; and/or Unmanned Surface Vehicles.
* Experience as a large program leader - leadership, supervisory and personnel oversight, performance reporting, coaching, and mentorship skills are essential
* Expertise in oral and written English communications skills
* Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office environment is essential (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
Clearance Required:
* DoD Active TS/SCI clearance (no Secret or Public Trust)
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
* U.S. Navy leadership experience on scientific and/or engineering projects
* Prior experience as a U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer or CPO/PO
* Experience in working with DoD or US Navy Program Executive Offices (PEO)
Analysts and Engineers will support the Senior Program Manager and WAMD Team to provide the Warfare Analysis and Digital Modeling Division with systems engineering, system of systems architecture development, mission engineering and mission analysis, force analysis, modeling and simulation, software development, documentation and technical writing support, programmatic support, and administrative support. Each candidate will work in the Dahlgren, VA area and will be onsite regularly; hybrid work is expected.

Salary: $145,000.00 - $165,000.00 based on experience, plus medical/dental/vision benefits, 13 days PTO and 7 days sick time; other benefits available. Salary potentially negotiable.
