TO FULFILL THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION, IN-PERSON VISITS TO DEED ROOMS, PROBATE ROOMS, AND OTHER LOCATIONS WILL BE NECESSARY. THEREFORE, ALL APPLICANTS MUST RESIDE IN GEORGIA AND HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.
WE ARE SEEKING EXPERIENCED RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE TITLE EXAMINERS ONLY, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE RUNNING TITLE EXAMS IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA.
We are looking for experienced and proven title examiners. Our examiners are responsible for day to day research of title files and must pay close attention to details. Must exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills. Must use logical thought processes while problem solving, take initiatives to plan and prioritize work and be adaptable to changing work requirements. Must possess and strong understanding of technology and clear writing skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Research for prior deeds, mortgages, and easements to identify and existing obstacles to the legal sale of a property, keeping records of the search and data it generated.
- Understand property law terminology to effectively communicate with legal professionals and fully satisfy requests for information.
- Gather title details and organize them into reports for attorneys and paralegals while upholding the strictest confidentiality.
- Use analytical skills to determine if more in-depth research is needed on a particular property and determine if an issue exists that could stop the sale of a property, such as tax assessments or liens.
- Prepare title documentation per the requirements of applicable geographical jurisdictions as well as documentation necessary for real estate transactions.
- Maintain professionalism in all verbal and written communication, working independently on title research caseload and maintaining a high level of productivity.
- Comply with all professional standards of title examinations and analysis while using real estate industry software and search tools.
Skills Required
- Minimum of 5 years' experience examining in the state of Georgia.
- Strong knowledge of real estate title standards
- Proficient in verbal and written communication
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to adhere to deadlines.
- Experience with metes and bounds property searches and proficiency in legal description drafting, either by hand or using software like Deed Plotter
- Proficient computer skills, including Adobe Acrobat for document editing, print to PDF, and combining files.
