What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Hockey & Mentorship position at Innovative V, LLC, dba TPH?
At TPH, our purpose is to lead the world in the holistic development of student-athletes, advancing – in and beyond the game – the next generation of impact players. We are an academy-style athletics program that enables the opportunity to develop athletics, academics, and character while helping student-athletes achieve their long term athletic goals.
TPH and its Kansas City-based Academy facility partner, the Advent Health Sports Park at Bluhawk , have teamed up to identify a passionate, knowledgeable hockey professional to spearhead all-things player development, on-ice curriculum, programming innovation, and most importantly, student-athlete mentorship.
This unique opportunity combines hockey instruction and mentorship at TPH Academy with the chance to cross over and support Bluhawk's Director of Ice Operations with programming inside their world-class 420,000 square foot indoor sports and entertainment complex.

While a more comprehensive job description will be provided to finalists for the position, the Head of Hockey & Mentorship will have five core responsibilities :
- Create on-ice training curriculums for TPH Academy and select Bluhawk hockey programs consistent with the TPH Hockey Development Model
- Lead all on-ice training sessions for TPH Academy, when the Academy is in session, September through May
- Provide on-ice leadership and support for Bluhawk programs in the afternoons and evenings, when TPH Academy is in session, as well as during the summer months (June-August) when the Academy is not in session
- Be a presence in the TPH Academy academic space, helping to power a positive culture while flanking the Director with student-athlete leadership and supervision
- Work in lockstep with the division Director on all-things recruiting strategy to ensure TPH Academy reaches its yearly goals
This is a full-time, year round position that comes with a full benefits package. Salary for the position is based on experience and comes with an opportunity to earn incentives based on performance.
