Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Director to oversee our fine dining operations in Islamorada, FL. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the food and beverage service, ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and efficiency are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including fine dining restaurants, bars, and special event venues.
- Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage the performance of food and beverage staff, ensuring a professional and service-focused team.
- Guest Experience: Maintain the highest standards of service excellence, ensuring guests receive an unparalleled dining experience.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the executive chef and culinary team to develop creative and diverse menus that align with current fine dining trends.
- Budgeting & Financial Management: Monitor and control food and beverage costs, including labor, inventory, and vendor negotiations, to ensure budget targets are met.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation practices, licensing, and food safety standards.
- Event Coordination: Oversee the planning and execution of special events, including weddings, corporate events, and private dining experiences, ensuring all food and beverage services are of the highest quality.
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers and vendors to source premium ingredients and beverages.
- Marketing & Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional events and marketing initiatives to drive traffic and enhance brand reputation.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 years of experience as a Food and Beverage Director or in a similar leadership role within fine dining establishments.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and inspire a large team in a fast-paced, high-end environment.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial management within the food and beverage sector.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to quality, consistency, and presentation in every aspect of food and beverage service.
- Knowledge of Wine and Spirits: Advanced knowledge of wine pairings, fine wines, and spirits is a plus.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
