About the Role:
Seamer Maintenance Technician - Subject Matter Expert (SME) - As a Seamer Technician, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting seaming machines to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
Your expertise will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring that our canned products meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, adjust, and operate sealing machines for production runs.
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on sealing equipment to minimize downtime.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Perform inspections and tests on finish can verify proper sealing and integrity.
- Troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise during production.
- Collaborate with production staff and management to optimize efficiency and production output.
- Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance, and repairs.Provide competent and effective maintenance support to our plant operations. Deliver training and guidance to Maintenance Technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Systematically execute preventive and proactive maintenance to avert equipment breakdowns
- Prioritize maintenance repairs to minimize disruptions to manufacturing operations
- Uphold the efficiency and functionality of machinery
- Identify problem areas and develop appropriate solutions to rectify issues and prevent machine deterioration
- Support the facility's food safety, SQF, and GMP programs to ensure compliance and achieve desired outcomes
- Possess the ability to resolve issues with all production and support equipment to enhance line efficiency
- Draft work SOPs and aid in developing PM protocols
- Perform general housekeeping duties and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist in implementing and maintaining the LOTO program at the plant
- Work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively
- Actively participate in the recruitment of maintenance personnel for the company
- Collaborate effectively with others to resolve maintenance issues
- Maintain facility condition to the highest standards, both inside and outside
- Adhere to PPE requirements at all times, including wearing hair nets, beard nets, earplugs, and safety glasses, as appropriate for the specific area of the facility being worked in
Qualifications:
- Formal Applicants must possess demonstrable experience working directly with the specific type of automated beverage manufacturing equipment employed within our facility. Examples of such equipment include: Crown Fillers, Angelus Seamers, Douglas Contour, Douglas Spectrum, RA Jones Meridian
- High school diploma or equivalent; Technical certification in machinery or mechanical engineering is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Seamer Technician or in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in food manufacturing.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Compensation:
- commensurate with experience in the beverage industry.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
