Job Description

Role : Business Analyst / Data Analyst with Data Controls & Governance

Type : Full-Time W2

Pay Rate : $55.00 / hr

Location : Charlotte, NC (Preferred). Open to DFW, MN, or AZ.

Experience Required : 5 years, with emphasis in data controls / governance at a financial institution

Required Skills & Expertise

5 years of experience with Data Controls and / or Data Governance in #FinancialServices
Able to understand data from both a technical and business perspective (not a purely technical role)
Basic SQL query writing
Robust communication and #Excel skills

Nice to Have : Experience with data lineage , data quality , data dictionary , or metadata .

Role & Responsibilities

Enforce and evangelize Enterprise Data Management Policy across critical functions.

Lead cross-entity, enterprise-wide Data Governance initiatives.

Document and assess data controls , data dictionaries, and data lineage to ensure compliance.

Develop and recommend data quality monitoring rules, driving improvements in data integrity.

Serve as a subject matter expert on data governance policies and best practices.

Collaborate with QA teams and line of business partners to meet critical milestones.

Escalate risks and issues to team leads to ensure project timelines are maintained.
