Location : Houston, TX ( Hybrid 1 day onsite per week on average )
Duration : 6 months (Contract)
Rate : $60 / hr (C2C)
Visa : No GC, USC.
Job Summary :
United Airlines is seeking a DevOps Engineer with expertise in Harness, AWS, and GitHub Actions to join the Platform Engineering and DevOps team . This role involves managing CI / CD pipelines, AWS infrastructure, and cloud-based compute environments while contributing to continuous improvement and security remediation .
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines using Harness .
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform) .
- Support AWS services (EKS, ECS, Lambda) and Kong API Gateway / Service Mesh .
- Collaborate across teams to optimize deployments and automate workflows .
- Ensure security compliance and operational efficiency .
- Document and maintain technical guidelines and best practices .
- Work with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, and Jira to track tasks and user stories.
Required Qualifications :
5 years of experience in technical architecture, software development, or IT operations .
Hands-on expertise with Harness, AWS (EKS, ECS, Lambda), Terraform, and CI / CD pipelines .
Experience in writing and maintaining pipeline templates and infrastructure code .
Strong knowledge of GitHub Actions for automation and deployment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field .
