The Technical Product Owner will play a critical role in driving the development and enhancement of our cyber security product. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to ensure that the product meets market demands and aligns with the company s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, deep understanding of the digital insurance industry, and a passion for cyber security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the cyber security product, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives and customer needs.
- Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that the development team is focused on delivering high-impact features and improvements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including customers, internal teams, and senior management, to gather requirements, validate solutions, and provide regular updates on progress.
- Agile Leadership: Lead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring the team remains aligned and focused on delivering value.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance to the development team, making informed decisions on architecture, integration, and implementation to ensure the product s scalability, security, and performance.
- Market & User Research: Conduct market research and gather user feedback to identify emerging trends, customer pain points, and opportunities for innovation in the cyber security space.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that the product complies with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices in cyber security and digital insurance.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch, growth, and eventual sunset if necessary.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7 years of experience as a Product Owner, with at least 3 years focused on cyber security or related fields within the digital insurance industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical background with a deep understanding of cyber security technologies, practices, and frameworks. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is required.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the digital insurance industry, including regulatory requirements, market trends, and customer needs.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Location: Must be based in the Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona region. Candidates should be able to work onsite as needed and be available for local team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certifications.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Cyber Security Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
