Duties
- Assist with contract management, contract renewals, contract amendments, and contract budget development for WIC local agency grant contracts
- Provide technical assistance to WIC local agency grantees related to WIC policy and federal regulations
- Review the accuracy of monthly requests for reimbursement and monitor WIC local agency compliance with contract deliverables and federal regulations
- Perform accounting, data collection, federal reporting, financial record keeping, and verification of financial data to maintain accounting records
- Verify the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings of business transactions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to, Outlook, SharePoint, Word, and Excel; and Adobe Pro
- The preferred candidate will have previous experience working for a federally funded nutrition program, such as WIC, and of the Statewide Financial System. -The candidate would have a strong accounting background, as well as experience with data collection and analytical skills
- Previous contract management experience is preferred as well as good writing and communication skills
- Experience with development and implementation of program policies and procedures
- Preferred qualifications also include experience working in a fast-paced government office setting, familiarity with New York State systems, specific terminology and conducting a wide range of tasks to support program operations
