JOB SUMMARY:
InnoVero is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-time Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to support our growing logistics operations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate inventory management, efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, and seamless communication with internal stakeholders and customers. You will work closely with the Director of Business Operations to streamline processes, ensure timely fulfillment, and enhance overall warehouse efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping and Receiving:
- Accurately pick, pack, and ship orders based on client specifications.
- Prepare shipping labels and required documentation, including customs paperwork for international shipments.
- Coordinate carrier pickups and ensure adherence to shipping timelines.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or missing items.
- Process returns and manage restocking in a timely manner.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain organized storage of inventory in bins, shelves, and pallets.
- Conduct regular and accurate cycle counts to ensure inventory is accurate.
- Reconcile inventory records and assist with reordering processes.
- Work with the Director of Business Operations to implement Just-In-Time (JIT) practices to optimize inventory levels and reduce the Cash Conversion Cycle.
Warehouse Organization and Operations:
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse space.
- Ensure supplies, tools, and packaging materials are well-stocked and accessible.
- Collaborate with the Director of Business Operations to improve workflows and operational processes.
- Assist with the implementation of new procedures and systems to enhance warehouse efficiency and reporting.
- Help create and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
Customer Service:
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide order updates and address inquiries.
- Assist in resolving shipping-related issues, such as delays, returns, or incorrect deliveries.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent: relevant logistics certifications a plus.
- 1 years of experience shipping, receiving, or inventory management, preferably in a warehouse setting.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate order processing and inventory counts.
- Experience with customs procedures, international shipping documentation, and inventory management software (e.g., QuickBooks Enterprise, ShipStation, Shopify) is desirable.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse tools and equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, straddle stackers, and label printers.
- OSHA certification for operating powered industrial equipment (such as pallet jacks) or willingness to obtain certification.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
