Job Overview :
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at Lenoir City Animal Clinic . The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced veterinary or healthcare environment, with excellent communication and customer service skills. This position plays a critical role in providing a welcoming atmosphere for clients, managing phone calls, scheduling appointments, and supporting our veterinary team with various clerical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Service : Serve as the first point of contact for clients, providing a friendly, professional greeting in person and on the phone.
- Appointment Scheduling : Efficiently schedule appointments for routine and urgent care visits, ensuring accurate client and pet information is captured.
- Check-In and Check-Out : Handle patient check-ins and check-outs with accuracy, providing information about services rendered, payments due, and next steps for follow-up care.
- Client Communication : Answer client inquiries, both in person and over the phone, with professionalism, and direct concerns to the appropriate team member when necessary.
- Administrative Support : Maintain patient records and update client information in the practice management system. Ensure all documents are completed accurately and filed appropriately.
- Billing and Payments : Process payments for services, accurately handling cash, credit cards, and insurance claims. Prepare invoices and explain charges to clients.
- Inventory Management : Assist with tracking supplies, ensuring that clinic inventory is maintained in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with the veterinary team to ensure smooth clinic operations, patient flow, and timely communication.
- Client Education : Provide general information to clients regarding services, vaccinations, pet care, and preventative treatments, helping them understand the importance of the care their pet is receiving.
- Records Management : Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality.
