We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our Corporate Accounting Manager in ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and external audits. This role will be pivotal in managing the monthly financial close process, preparing account reconciliations, and implementing accounting policies and controls at a global level.
The Exciting Things You Will Do:
- Assist in the management of the monthly financial close process, ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and reconciling account balances.
- Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and operational strategies, including process and system changes.
- Provide accounting support for special projects and collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment and the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Work closely with external auditors to facilitate audit processes and ensure compliance.
- Prepare and review detailed journal entries and perform thorough account analyses.
- Coordinate financial accounting activities with SEC, Tax, and Treasury departments to support annual reporting requirements.
