One of our top Government agency client’s is hiring a skilled Database Engineer to make a significant impact supporting their Intel sector. This role focuses on managing and enhancing databases critical to a system utilized by 4.7 million users. As part their commitment to national security, this individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, performance, and security of databases, enabling the customer to carry out its mission of safeguarding the nation. REQUIRED : ACTIVE TS / SCI and full scope Polygraph
5 days onsite / full time.
Requirements :
6 years of hands-on MySQL database engineering experience – database creation, optimization, and management
Extensive experience in the design, development, & deployments of large-scale database systems – working directly with software development team
4 years of experience writing SQL queries for large Enterprise level databases
Agile environment experience – following Scrum methodologies in a development environment
Active TS / SCI Clearance with a FULL-SCOPE Poly required
Nice to have :
Python scripting experience for automation / database management
Experience in an AWS Cloud environment
Experience managing databases in a Linux environment
MySQL Database certifications
Hands-on XML experience for data exchange, database storage, and querying data
Responsibilities :
Work on a new, high-profile, large-scale application with users in 50 organizations across the Sponsor – including working closely with a team of software developers to specify, design, develop, test and deploy the final system.
Create DDLs for creating, modifying, or deleting tables within the database to meet customer requirements while development takes place using scrum / agile techniques with multiple stakeholder collaboration
Development will take place in an iterative fashion using scrum techniques with input from multiple stakeholders.
Designing, developing, testing, and deploying data models and databases for the end-state system
Supporting architecture, development, and maintenance of databases for development, test, training and production environments across multiple classification fabrics for the final enterprise system
Working with development team and enterprise service provider partners to implement security features such as access control, role separation, audit and logging, and system monitoring
Participate in iterative software development teams with adherence to all reporting requirements
Meet with stakeholders, analyzing requirements, developing user stories and related artifacts, and translating these into a data model and corresponding database(s)
Work with other enterprise data service programs to leverage their capabilities in the final system implementation
Develop technical documentation and briefing materials to support program status reviews, control gates, and other presentations as directed by program management
Provide demonstrations and detailed walk-throughs of data model and repository features to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
