Title : Oracle Exadata DBA
Location : Des Moines, IA (Hybrid)
Duration : Long Term Contract
Key Activities
Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database for C2M application on Exadata.
Perform health checks, apply patches on Exadata.
Monitor logs and alerts using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
Tune I / O performance using cellcli, dcli, and DBRM (Database Resource Manager).
Optimize In-Memory settings to improve C2M transaction performance.
Implement RMAN backup strategies, manage Snapshots for backup and cloning.
Maintain Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) for load balancing and redundancy.
Monitor ASM (Automatic Storage Management) to ensure efficient disk allocation.
Perform rolling patches and updates to minimize downtime.
Configure Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery and testing disaster recovery scenarios (switchover / failover)
Support Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication.
Perform Data Pump (expdp / impdp) migrations for environment refreshes.
Enforce Exadata security best practices
Investigate performance bottlenecks using AWR (Automatic Workload Repository), ASH (Active Session History), and Exadata Metrics.
Analyze Exadata alert logs to detect and resolve hardware or database issues.
Open and manage Oracle SR (Service Requests) for critical incidents.
Must Have / Nice to Have :
Prior C2M experience
Has worked with Exadata before and understand the features, like snapshot
OUAW is nice to have and GG experience is a must
Availability of onshore resource
Hours are variable, and while not expected to exceed 40 hours in a week, they occasionally may
Resource needs to be willing to work weekends and nights / evenings as the project work dictates
Resource needs to be willing to be onsite, likely once a month
There will be 3 week long dry-runs for go-live that will be onsite and the actual go-live will be onsite in Des Moines. Most likely the go-live will be planned over a long weekend.
T&E will be billed separately and does not need to be baked into the rate
