About the Role
We are seeking a Project Controller to managing and monitoring project schedules, costs, and resource allocation using Primavera P6 software, ensuring projects stay on track with deadlines and budget by performing detailed planning, critical path analysis, progress reporting, and variance analysis, while collaborating closely with project managers and stakeholders to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Scheduling :
1. Develop comprehensive project schedules in Primavera P6, including activity breakdown structure, durations, dependencies, and milestones.
2.Utilize critical path analysis to identify critical activities and potential bottlenecks.
3. Incorporate resource requirements and constraints into the schedule.
4. Perform "what-if" scenarios to assess schedule impacts of changes.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting :
1. Regularly update project schedules based on actual progress data.
2. Generate detailed progress reports highlighting key metrics like schedule variance, cost variance, and earned value.
3. Analyze schedule deviations and identify areas for corrective action.
4. Communicate project status updates to stakeholders effectively.
Cost Control :
1. Track project expenditures against the budget and identify cost variances.
2. Perform cost forecasting and identify potential cost overruns
3. Collaborate with project managers to manage cost control measures
Resource Management :
1. Optimize resource allocation across project activities
2. Monitor resource availability and potential conflicts
3. Identify resource over-allocation and propose adjustments
Change Management :
1. Evaluate the impact of proposed project changes on schedule and budget
2. Facilitate change order process and documentation
Required Qualifications
8 years to 10 yrs in Industry
Proficient in Primavera P6 software
Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey project status
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Experience in construction, engineering, or related industries (depending on the project)
Oil and Gas Industry added advantage.
