INNOVIM is seeking an Enterprise Engineering Solutions (EES) Deputy Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO
The candidate will:
- Provide leadership of an integrated enterprise engineering solutions team that consists of Systems Engineers, Enterprise Architects, Configuration Management personnel, Data Analysts, and Program Analysts.
- Help identify and field Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices, techniques, processes, and tools to best understand and leverage the Missile Defense Integration & Operations Center (MDIOC) multi-domain system of systems' architecture and functions in support of MDA requirements and Digital Transformation.
- Develop, execute, monitor, and maintain stakeholder management and engagement plans with government customers and industry teammates.
- Help instill a culture of quality and ownership across Systems Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Configuration Management disciplines.
- Serve as an integrator across departments and contract, leveraging relationships and familiarity within the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
- Develop junior, mid-level, and senior engineering personnel to leverage an Agile delivery practice, to include capturing and decomposing work around Epics, Features, Stories, and Tasks.
- Facilitate the execution of an Agile Team Management construct across the IRES contract team, to include adopting elements of Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) for Government
- Perform supervisory activities to include performance evaluations, goal/priority setting, and performance actions as needed.
- Lead, mentor, and train members of the team to communicate, engage, and coordinate system engineering and configuration management governance activities across diverse stakeholders
- Coordinate with engineering leaders to support the application of Process Engineering and Continuous Improvement of non-manufacturing engineering processes.
- Lead the integration of Systems Engineering and Configuration Management Principles and Requirements into Project Management and delivery processes across the enterprise.
- Support strategic planning efforts to refine enterprise architecture initiatives
- Support the establishment and sustainment of enterprise-wide Systems Engineering and Configuration Management support teams.
- Manage the execution and continuous improvement of an enterprise-wide Engineering Review Board process.
- Communicate complex technical information to people of various backgrounds and disciplines.
- Provide status and briefings to leadership, to include senior government customers and stakeholders.
- Use interpersonal skills to solve both technical and organizational conflict.
- In the absence of the EES Manager, be able to provide the EES team leaders and supervisors with work direction while delegating authority to convey responsibilities.
Basic Requirements:
- Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 14 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 12 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 8 years of general experience.
- Must have 8 years of directly related experience
- Must include 3 years of experience in management or leadership roles
- Must have prior experience leading integrated teams in support of the Department of Defense
- Must have experience developing templates, standards and/or training material
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills
- Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements:
- Have Systems Engineering and/or Process Engineering experience
- Have experience with engineering review boards
- Have experience with strategic planning
- Have experience using Jira to manage tasks
- Have experience using engineering modeling and simulation tools
- Have experience using agile project management concepts, methods and practice and have training/education in agile delivery concepts
- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) for government
- Experience mentoring junior employees to identify value and continuous improvement performance
- Have 5 years managing, supervising, and orchestrating high-performing teams
