What are the responsibilities and job description for the RF Electronic Engineer - SME position at INNOVIM?
INNOVIM is seeking Senior Level RF Electronic Engineers to support a government proposal for a technology involved in multi-disciplinary engineering aspects including: aeronautical, space, and ground systems engineering; radio frequency engineering analysis; and associated disciplines.
Operating as a program management office, the candidates will be responsible for engineering support to provide project technical subject matter expertise in support of RFIMS subsystems.
The Engineer is expected to use appropriate manual and/or automated tools to assist in the performance of daily activities and assignments, and support on matters pertaining to on-going system requirements and engineering processes and activities. There may be software and hardware lifecycle development and maintenance; hardware and equipment acquisitions; and other relevant duties as assigned.
In addition, successful candidates will be responsible for system engineering in analyzing, testing, and developing solutions to radio frequency subsystems, wireless networks, and components. The Contractor shall support NOAA to ensure the subsystem software and/or firmware patches are updated on time, and information assurance tasks related to RFIMS are completed in a timely manner. System Engineer shall support the planning, analysis, design, development, test and maintenance of subsystems.
Candidates will also be familiar with Radio Frequency Survey System (RFSS) Central Monitoring Subsystem (CMS) and Remote Monitoring Subsystem (RMS).

Successful participants in our proposal will have a broad, high-level knowledge of specific solution architecture for government applications and possess the capability to direct, design, plan, implement and integrate plans based on the various user environments. Strong communication skills to participate in system reviews and assist in preparing briefings. Good soft communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and have the ability to work in a team setting which has uses an Integrated Product Team (IPT) engineering model. Prior experience supporting activities to analyze and understand scenarios of how to mitigate RF interference thereby preventing data loss in the NOAA satellite data downlink, preferred.
B.S. in Engineering or equivalent required, M.S. desired, with at least 16 years’ total relevant experience. The candidate must be a US Citizen able to pass a NACI clearance.
