InnoVision Marketing Group, voted one of the "Best Places to Work in SoCal 2024," is seeking a full-time UI/UX & Graphic Designer to join our creative team. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented designer with expertise in UI/UX and a strong foundation in Graphic Design. The ideal candidate will craft seamless digital experiences while ensuring brand consistency across web, mobile, print, and large-scale formats.
Key Responsibilities
UI/UX Design:
- Design and prototype user interfaces for web and mobile applications with a focus on functionality, accessibility, and aesthetics.
- Create wireframes, mood boards, and interactive prototypes using Figma (our primary tool for comps).
- Utilize web UI kits and component libraries to develop scalable design templates.
- Apply user-centered design (UCD) principles and usability best practices.
- Use structured grid systems, including 12-column grids for layouts and 8-point grids for typography and spacing.
- Conduct UX research and usability testing to refine designs.
- Understand user research & personas to design experiences that align with audience needs and behaviors.
Graphic & Print Design:
- Develop digital and print marketing assets, including social media graphics, video thumbnails, email newsletters, brochures, flyers, and billboards.
- Ensure consistent branding across digital and print mediums while adapting designs for various screen sizes and print formats.
- Design print- and digital-friendly assets with attention to resolution, color profiles, and accessibility.
- Apply brand guidelines to ensure colors, fonts, and design elements align with brand identity.
- Create branding materials such as logos, icons, and visual style guides.
- Edit and enhance images, illustrations, and promotional materials.
- Optimize file sizes and formats for web and device performance while maintaining high visual quality.
Collaboration & Optimization:
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and marketers to align design solutions with business goals.
- Ensure accessibility considerations such as contrast ratios, font sizes, and readability for digital projects.
- Integrate content strategy & copy placement to complement visuals effectively.
- Consider technical specs & constraints, including print bleeds, CMYK for print, RGB for digital, and responsive digital layouts.
- Gather early feedback from stakeholders and test users to iterate on designs before finalization.
- Prepare file organization & handoff documentation, ensuring structured layers, proper file naming, and well-prepared assets for developers or printers.
- Participate in design reviews and feedback sessions.
- Stay up to date with design trends, tools, and best practices.
- Optimize and refine designs based on user feedback and analytics.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in UI/UX and graphic design.
- Proficiency in Figma (our primary design tool) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout design, and branding.
- Expertise in structured grid systems (12-column and 8-point grids) for layout consistency.
- Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first design.
- Experience creating scalable UI kits and reusable components.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
- Excellent visual storytelling and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
