JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Director of Procurement is responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing all purchasing activities to ensure cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance across the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives, focusing on cost savings, supplier diversity, and risk management
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance on complex sourcing projects and vendor negotiations
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, managing contract negotiations, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Implement and optimize procurement policies, procedures, and systems to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Analyze market trends, pricing data, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand business needs and develop effective sourcing solutions
- Manage the organization's procurement budget and track key performance indicators
- Drive digital transformation initiatives in procurement processes, including e-procurement systems and automation tools
- Ensure ethical procurement practices and maintain compliance with corporate governance standards
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 10 years of procurement experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated success in cost reduction initiatives
- Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams
- Advanced proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all levels of the organization
