Power BI Developer

The Client is requires the services of Software Engineer 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Software Engineer 3, Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined in this document for the Client.

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Client and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Client will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).

Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. Investigates problem areas. Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.

This Software Engineer 3 contractor position is part of the Administrative Applications SharePoint team and will be working to develop enhancements and provide support for the Robotic Process Automation application. This position will perform Software Engineer/Application Developer duties that will involve the following Power Platform areas: Power Apps Canvas and Model-driven apps, Dataverse, Power Automate Flows for business process automation and Power BI reports.

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 8 years-Required-Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments
• 8 years-Required-Experience as a Software Engineer or Application Developer
• 8 years-Required-Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate technical solutions
• 8 years-Required-Microsoft Power Platform development experience
• 8 years-Required-Experience with Agile development processes and sprint planning
• 8 years-Required-Experience in design and development of Canvas and Model-driven Power Apps by utilizing Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, or other databases as the backend data storage model
• 8 years-Required-Experience in design and development of Power BI reports
• 8 years-Required-Experience developing Power Automate Flows, Desktop Flows, business process flows
• 8 years-Required-Experience in Dataverse tables and uses
• 3 years-Preferred-Good teamwork skills, and ability to collaborate with other functional and technical staff on the project
• 3 years-Preferred-Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on cross-functional teams
• 3 years-Preferred-Communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills at all levels of an organization
• 1 years-Preferred-Experience in Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Admin Center
