Network Systems Analyst

ACCOUNTABILITIES OF JOB FUNCTION:

The purpose of this position is to assess, monitor and manage all information technology requirements. Administer network application and data servers and perform maintenance, evaluation, installation and training tasks to ensure users can maximize their productivity. Co-ordinate with vendors to provide services and support for network services and specialized programming. Provide telecommunications support. Also to contribute to a co-operative work environment where fairness, equity and non-discriminatory practices are the standard.

• Plant Controller

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Post-Secondary education in Information Technology or the equivalent in education and work experience
• Network Administration certification
• Minimum five years experience managing a network environment
• Proficient in hardware and software applications
• Office 365, QAD, JDE, Vision system, experience preferred
• Meraki switches
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks and manage available resources
• Excellent interpersonal and writing skills
• Good customer service skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Typical working hours are 8:00AM to 4:00PM unless otherwise required
• On Call for shop floor down time.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

• Manage and maintain all areas of LAN Administration; ensuring security, back-ups, virus protection, procedures and user guidelines are met.
• Manage licensing for IT Infrastructure and applications

• Manage, maintain and upgrade all network servers.

• Ensure all network switches (Meraki) are secure and working properly.
• Provide necessary cabling for locations requiring network access.

• Provide all necessary maintenance and upgrades to all network servers and desktop workstations and computers.
• Printer management for shop floor and office environment. Includes label printers, HP Plotter, network printers.

• Oversee all areas of the Visual Manufacturing system, maintaining the software and ensuring all users have the necessary tools for their position. Perform backups and regular database maintenance to ensure maximum performance.
• Manage Production VLANs
• Oversee all areas of CAD software environments. Co-ordinate with application vendors for specific support and upgrades.
• Ensure all application software will meet hardware requirements and user specifications.
