Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for a RN Clinical Mentor to work with the Surgical and the Observation Unit as well as the Float Pool. This role is Sign-on Bonus eligible.

- Orient, educate and develop nursing staff to ensure competence and ability to fulfill specified responsibilities.
- Provide support to novice and advanced nurses and preceptors to ensure a smooth transition into practice and the work environment.
- Integrate knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the clinical and social adjustment needs of all team members.
- Participate in the design, delivery and evaluation of educational programs to promote clinical development and career progression from novice to proficient nurse for new or existing clinicians.
- Hours: full-time, M-F (regular office hours, with some flexibility as needed based on department needs)
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Experience: 2 years of progressive experience in nursing in designated specialty (Strong Medical Surgical experience preferred); 3 months of experience serving as preceptor (at least 1yr preferred).
