Job Description
Job Title : Registered Nurse
Job Specialty : Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Scrub and Circulate
Job Duration : 26 weeks
Shift : 13-hour days, rotating to nights and / or weekends as needed
Guaranteed Hours : 39 hours per week
Experience : 3 to 5 years of recent experience as a scrub and circulating nurse in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
License : Registered Nurse license
Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association required; Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred
Must-Have :
- Ability to scrub and circulate
- Experience with coronary artery bypass (primary and redo), aortic aneurysms, atrioventricular renal (AVR) and mitral valve repair (MVR, primary and redo), transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR), extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and ventricular assist devices (VADs)
- Ability to multitask and utilize critical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player
