Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a RN Clinical Educator Nursing to join our Pediatric Cardiac ICU (PCICU) team. This role is full-time, M-F. Sign-on Bonus & relocation assistance eligible.
The PCICU Clinical Educator will thrive in a 12-bed state-of-the-art unit and will assist in overseeing growth of the staff, unit, and the pediatric ECMO and Pulmonary Hypertension programs. Responsibilities:
- Utilizes system strategies and tools to assess the competency of new nursing staff members while focusing on quality of care and patient safety goals.
- Integrates theoretical knowledge, evidence-based principles and clinical nursing expertise into educational experiences for both new and experienced team members.
- Prepares annual self-development plans, sets professional goals and seek opportunities for achieving them.
- Contributes to quality and safety initiatives across the organization.
Requirements:
- Hours: full-time, M-F (regular office hours, with some flexibility as needed based on department needs)
- Education: Master's Degree in Nursing, HealthCare, Education and/or other relevant field
- Experience: 2 years of progressive experience in nursing in designated specialty; at least 3 months of experience serving as preceptor
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association; Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state RN License
