Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse Clinical Mentor to work with the following Acute Care areas: ICU, PCU, Medical and Surgical units. This role is Sign-on Bonus & Relocation assistance eligible.

Responsibilities:
- Develop expertise in training, coaching and mentoring staff through the promotion and delivery of high-quality nursing care.
- Orient, educate and develop nursing staff to ensure competence and ability to fulfill specified responsibilities.
- Provide support to novice and advanced nurses and preceptors to ensure a smooth transition into practice and the work environment.
- Integrate knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the clinical and social adjustment needs of all team members.
- Participate in the design, delivery and evaluation of educational programs to promote clinical development and career progression from novice to proficient nurse for new or existing clinicians.
Requirements:
- Hours: Part-time, (2 x 8 hour, night shifts)
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Experience: 2 years of progressive experience in nursing in designated specialty; 3 months of experience serving as preceptor.
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association; Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state RN License
