This role is responsible for all aspects of the site safety and environmental programs and for implementing internal safety and environmental programs.Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to) : Oversee safety and environmental compliance for the Bloomfield facility, including day-to-day operations, incoming spent carbons, air permit, wastewater discharge, and stormwater requirementsAssist with EHS duties at other facilities as assigned by ManagerParticipate in daily plant meetings, inspect the plant daily, and provide safety and environmental training to employeesPrepare all annual and periodic environmental reports for the assigned facilities, including but not limited to all SARA reporting, DMR, annual air permit certifications, deviation reports, and others as requiredPrepare permit renewal applications and modifications for air, water, and waste permitsDevelop and / or implement environmental programs for the Bloomfield facilitySupport other EH&S projects for the Bloomfield facility or other locations as assigned by the Director of EH&SImplement corporate safety and environmental requirementsPerform daily site inspections, interact with employees, contractors, and management to ensure day-to-day operational safetySupport an accident-free culturePerform Behavioral Based Safety ObservationsQualifications : A bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from a four-year college or university is required (A degree in environmental sciences, engineering, chemistry, or other technical discipline / work experience is preferred)3-5 years of EH&S Management experience is required
