Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated EICU Data Assistant to join our team. This role will be Full-Time, 12 Hour Day / Night Shift, Days Vary.

Job Responsibilities :
The eICU Data Assistant assists in the departmental management of patient information. Demonstrates positive customer relations skills. Maintains confidentiality of patients, team members, and department information. Performs departmental administrative duties. Reports clinical, administrative, or technical problems to the appropriate party.
Retrieves patient data from hospital systems and enters it into eCare Manager.
Verifies patient census and staff assignments at the beginning of each shift.
Communicates effectively with eICU WATCH and unit personnel.
Reports unauthorized personnel / breaches to the Security and Clinical Coordinator or Director or other assigned personnel.
Ensures adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
Answers telephone within three rings and directs calls in the eICU. Answers "hot phone" immediately when it rings.
Assists in the development of a defined reporting system and uses the system to report clinical, administrative, or technical problems that may result in medical errors, unsafe care, or sub[1]optimal communication between eICU WATCH and ICU health care professionals.
Functions in an organized and time-conscious manner in a fast-paced environment.
May perform additional duties as assigned.

Education : High School diploma or equivalent
Experience : Minimum one year of experience in a medical environment as a nursing assistant or clerical staff.
