What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Surgeon position at Inova Health System?

Inova Surgery Service Line is looking for a dedicated General Surgeon for the Eastern Region to join the team. This role will be full-time and cover both Inova Alexandria Hospital and Inova Mount Vernon Hospital as well as consultations in the office settings and elective surgery at Inova's Ambulatory Surgery Centers.

Additional Requirements :

Work schedule : Monday Thru Friday with Call

Education : An MD or DO from an accredited university medical school, Completed ACGME residency training and subsequent fellowship, Board eligible or board certified in General Surgery.

Preferred Experience : One year of general surgery experience

Licensure : Current or eligibility for an unrestricted Virginia state medical license and DEA

Preferred Requirements :

Excellent interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills for both clinical and non-clinical audiences, in group settings or one-on-one.

Expertise in establishing physician relationships combined with the ability to manage an interdisciplinary team while appreciating and fostering peer participation from all disciplines.

Advocate for organizational Mission, Vision and Values

Strong interests with Robotics, education, research, and public health are a must.

Salary : $5,250
