Laboratory Supervisor Job Responsibilities :
The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for adhering to technical and scientific standards while serving as a clinical / technical resource and coordinating quality activities.
Responsible for designing team member schedules and assignments to ensure the proper and timely completion of work, the health / safety of team members and the overall efficient operation of the section.
Assists in the development of budget and financial targets and maintains personal / professional development to ensure effective job performance to contribute to organizational effectiveness.
May perform additional duties as assigned.
Laboratory Supervisor Requirements :
Work Schedule : Day Shift Monday to Friday
Education : Bachelor's degree in science from a college / university recognized by regional or national accreditation agency. Other acceptable forms of education will follow the guidelines of American Society for Clinical Pathology / American Medical Technologists Board certification
Experience : 4 years of experience and knowledge of laboratory processes, advanced troubleshooting skills, leadership skills, strong interpersonal, communication and team building skills
Certifications : MT or ASCP Board certification consistent with scope of responsibility to include : Medical Lab Scientist (MLS), Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Lab Technician (MLT), Histotechnician (HT), Histotechnologist (HTL), Technologist in Blood Banking (BB), Technologist in Chemistry (C), Technologist in Hematology (H), Technologist in Microbiology (M), Cytotechnologist (CT), Clinical Laboratory Technologist
