Senior Maintenance ManagerLocation : Manufacturing PlantPosition SummaryThe Senior Maintenance Manager oversees and coordinates all major facility and equipment repairs, preventative maintenance programs, and capital project implementations to ensure operational efficiency and reliability. This role emphasizes continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to enhance equipment performance and support plant operations.Key ResponsibilitiesBudget and Resource Management : Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget, considering maintenance system insights, capital project plans, and future growth projections.Monitor department expenses, including overtime, to ensure cost efficiency and alignment with budget objectives.Team Leadership and Development : Lead and manage the daily activities of the maintenance team, providing training and professional development to build a high-performing team.Establish and enforce performance standards while fostering a culture of safety and accountability.Continuous Improvement : Implement Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and equipment efficiency.Analyze maintenance activities, including preventative (PM), corrective (CM), and emergency (EM) maintenance, to minimize downtime and improve performance.Maintenance Systems and Documentation : Maintain an up-to-date library of maintenance documentation, including SOPs, vendor manuals, and process flows.Regularly review and update maintenance procedures to align with best practices and operational needs.Project Collaboration : Partner with engineering, plant management, and corporate teams to plan and execute capital projects.Ensure timely and successful project implementation.Compliance and Safety : Enforce company policies and regulatory requirements, including food safety standards such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the maintenance department.Other Duties : Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.Travel may be required occasionally.QualificationsEducation and Experience : Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).5-10 years of experience in maintenance or engineering roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Demonstrated supervisory and managerial experience.Knowledge and Skills : Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, and equipment maintenance.Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.Effective communication and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to lead teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Why Join Us?We are an industry-leading manufacturer dedicated to innovation and operational excellence.
