What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Therapist IV position at Inova Health?
Job Description
Inova Kellar Center is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist IV to join the Kellar Center team. Inova Kellar Center has partnered with the Virginia Mental Health Access Program (VMAP) to support primary care providers (PCPs) throughout the state of Virginia with identifying, addressing, and treating behavioral health needs of their patients ages 0-21. VMAP offers PCPs consultation and education to PCPs, as well as care navigation to parents and young adults to guide them to needed behavioral health resources. The VMAP team based at Inova Kellar center is seeking a collaborative Behavioral Health Therapist 4 to join the interdisciplinary team of Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Developmental Pediatricians, Care Navigators, and other Licensed Mental Health Professionals from across the state. We are looking for a therapist excited about improving behavioral health through partnering with PCPs – primarily through consulting with them on the behavioral health of their patients, conducting VMAP outreach activities, training on behavioral health intervention, and supporting the non-clinician Care Navigators on the team who work directly with families and patients in accessing care. Direct clinical work providing therapy to children, adolescents, and their families, remains a smaller responsibility of the position, about half a day per week. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Inova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience. We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation.
