Inova Fairfax Hospital | Clinical Technician 1 – Intermediate Cardiac Care | Full-time Day Rotating Shift: Monday – Friday (including some weekends), 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician 1 to join the Intermediate Cardiac Care team. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday – Friday (including some weekends), 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Inova Fairfax Hospital Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU) is a 24-bed unit located within Inova Schar Heart and Vascular. Out patient population included but is not limited to: AMI/NSTEMI/STEMI pre and post PCI/PTCA, Interventional recovery, Pre-operative open-heart patients , CHF exacerbation requiring Bipap/highflow/high level diuresis, and Arrhythmia management including TVP, AICD, PPM, and antiarrhythmic loading.

Clinical Technician Job Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.
• ADLs
• Blood Draws
• IV Insertion
• Catheter / Foley insertion
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
  

Requirements

• Work Schedule: (3) 12-hour shift (Monday – Friday {including some weekends} days rotating, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
• Training: Must be available for six (6) weeks of paid training, consisting of,
• Virtual modules
• Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM
• On-unit training with department hired into (times TBD)
• Experience: Prior clinical experience in healthcare is strongly preferred.
