Job Description

Inova Health is looking for a dedicated IT Business Systems Analyst 3 to join the Team. This hybrid role will be full-time day-shift from Monday - Friday.

The IT Business Systems Analyst 3 communicates project and team status to internal and external audiences to keep project team informed. Conducts or participates in system technical and application reviews to determine feasibility, cost and evaluate usefulness for Inova Health System. Maintains and facilitates implementations of systems, and databases to ensure optimum performance of automated systems. Manages complex IT projects/products in order to provide automated solutions that meet Inova Health Systems business needs.

IT Business Systems Analyst 3 Job Responsibilities

• Manages testing phases as evidenced by the preparation of test scripts and conversion plans. Participates in all phases of testing complex, integrated systems as evidenced by preparation of test data/scripts, development and execution of tests, verification of test results, and user acceptance sign off, in accordance with IT system implementation documentation standards.
• Evaluates requests for service and follows through as evidenced by completion of system evaluation forms and requirements documentation, in accordance with IS documentation standards. Follows through on issues for resolution, escalates and communicates status to management in a timely manner in accordance with established policy.
• Responds to system issues, incidents and malfunctions as evidenced by following documented on-call and down time procedures, in accordance with established policy. Identifies opportunities to improve systems up-time and performance. Communicates status and problems to users and vendors through status reports and issues list, in accordance with IT documentation standards.
• Serves as a resource to other Analysts in the resolution of complex problems and issues. Assists in the orientation of and supports team members by providing training and mentoring.
• Provides project management leadership as evidenced by project planning, problem resolution, change control and quality assurance in accordance with established policy. Leads project task force meetings or work groups. Creates meeting agendas, project correspondence and meeting minutes in accordance with Technology Services documentation standards.
• Analyzes IT processes, as evidenced by documented feasibility studies, workflow analysis and identification/communication/evaluation of alternate solutions encompassing a variety of techniques including interviews, process mapping, re-engineering and product evaluation.
• Leads in conducting system investigation to determine functional and technical requirements, feasibility of application in the Inova environment, cost, and support/maintenance. Participates in ongoing maintenance of major systems, follows all Change Management procedures as evidenced by documentation in the IS issues tracking system, in accordance with established policy.
  
  

IT Business Systems Analyst 3 Additional Requirements

• Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; Hybrid
• Education: Bachelor's degree; or Associate’s degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required
• Experience: 3 years as systems analyst or equivalent experience, analyzing and implementing systems in an integrated, complex environment.
  
  

IT Business Systems Analyst 3 Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with revenue cycle and/or other administrative applications preferred
• Previous healthcare environment experience preferred
